Sirmal: Every mediocre animator has a fucking patreon now....Jesus fucking christ! If you want people to support you, you need to show some amazing work. This just looks lazy.
Where is the lighting? Why is there no background?
Maybe don't make the patreon text so big its annoying.... Make people want to give you money for fucks sake

didejaydefro: @Sirmal: I can't be more agree with you. It begin to piss me off. Personally I don't do an amazing work than some guys there do, but dammit, I won't ask money on Patreon. FFS ! Guys, the first pics we had for years were Gmods pics (that looked very terrible) but then we had nice pics from SFM when people started to use it. People were doing sfm pics for free most of the time. Because, it was just sharing some nice works. And it was good time !
You want more money ? Dammit get a job. or a job that pay you more.

USAgent: Don't hate the player, hate the game. If he gets money for his content then, hey, good for him. If he doesn't then, hey, that'll be telling him something. Why are you two so upset about someone trying to hustle? He can only improve. Besides I know this dude's patreon. Last time I checked it (like a month ago) he only had two patreons. And to date he still only has two. Maybe he'll get more exposure and flourish or maybe he'll take it down. No one knows. But damn no need to step on the dude's dreams. He's an amateur right now but could be a dynamo later. No one knows, man.

huuu: @All this guy is awful, he has this on every animation, his animation quality isn't even mediocre it's pretty terrible. He asks for 50$ for a 1 second loop as a commission. Don't put blame on any other animators, we don't do this kinda shit.

USAgent: @huuu: So his rates need some serious adjusting. Still no cause to roast the dude.

I'm surprised how people around here only see my Patreon as a "must give money" thing. And how they talk about free content as if my stuff wasn't here for free.

Yes, I have a logo. If people don't like it, why the hell they view my stuff? They can perfectly see there is a logo in the preview picture.

And is a shame how they only see the animation. No one sees what's behind, extracting models, applying textures, rigging, etc.

But anyway, as you said, I'm totally an amateur at animating. I started the same way at rigging when I wanted to learn how to port my own stuff.

m41rapture: The problem people have with it is the size of the logo. You can make your logo at a size thats not obnoxious.

I only just made a patreon to get some help with the Adobe after effects payments which is $32 a month to try and make my stuff look better for you guys. I would never want people to pay money otherwise but i only make $200 a week so that would be the first thing id have to ax if it comes to that. So patreon has its uses, just dont use it to take advantage of people.
