xigva: Gotta say, I don't know why animators make these things a full minute or more long if nothing is going to change during the sequence or there's not going to be some kind of finish at the end.

For the viewer it's a lot of build-up for no pay-off, and for the animators themselves it's a lot of wasted time sitting and letting these things render for hours on end.
