LordAardvark: @ASK: That's altogether not too surprising, actually. The scene was animating at 24 frames per second - which is what the GIFs are exported at - such that the animation was actually interpolated up to 60fps. Combine that with the fact that GIF is a naively simple format (and thus very easy to get a clean loop), as opposed to WebM, which is a much more complex format and has a lot of things that can go wrong with the encoding that results in a jittering loop.
Nevertheless, people wanted 1080p 60fps, and so they got 1080p 60fps. I never said that the quality was going to be as high as the resolution or framerate.
