jep630: I chose to save Chloe at first, and I thought it was an okay ending. I reloaded and saved Arcadia Bay instead just to see the difference. That ending is a lot longer, more emotional, it's even what Chloe explicitly said was her destiny. So even though Chloe is the shit and I give no fucks about Arcadia Bay, it was what felt correct. It made it into a story about loss and acceptance. Either way, the feels are off the charts. That dream sequence was annoying a hell, though.
oYlihan: You know, this game kicked me in the guts so hard I'm thinking of removing my content of it off this site. Not that I'm able to anyway. Oh well..
oYlihan: I was seriously kind of pissed off about this game's ending back then. Real waste of potential to the game's story.
Plus, I generally dislike the work I do. (Perhaps I'm being a bit too hard on myself then?)
Anyway, Rastafarian hasn't really act upon that request yet. Don't think he's going to, as he hates my guts. I can tell.
Might do some new animations with other characters in future, but it's not going to be Unity.
thinkinghorse: Well, I expected the story to end like since I started playing the game. There was too much influence from The Butterfly Effect movie in the game and that movie had crappy ending too.
And the game was overhyped anyway. I liked the game, it was enjoyable, I do not feel sorry for playing it, but it really wasn't that good. The writing was mediocre in most parts.
What disappointed me was how their ruined Jefferson in episode 5: from cold, careful, intelligent, always-thinking-ahead psychopath to cartoon character that reveals his master plan to his victim does evil stuff like killing people for "reasons" ..and yet, like all cartoonish villains, he is completely incapable of rape, because that never happens to kidnapped girls, right?
*sigh*
All least TBE wasn't a teeny story written for teeny teens and it wasn't afraid to include things like paedophilia and rape in the story. It wasn't show directly on screen of course, but it did happen.
LiS developers had no balls and turned Jefferson into a evily guy doing evilish things for evilish reasons.I guess they never knew that the game will get so popular.
