Also I 100% believe this is a stunt for them to advertise overwatch cuz.. why start now? you had WoW models, Starcraft models... Only site that got in trouble for using them was Studiofow.

It's because from a PR standpoint, it makes them look bad by association.
Which is why all the links in the Kotaku article don't lead anywhere, they've taken all of them down. Those sites that were linked will be under a microscope for a while, but sites like R34H, and artists that aren't super huge are fine. Don't worry about it.

They get to look moral while still going "hey, it's not our fault everyone's looking at our game, we're just doing the right thing!", blah, blah, blah.
