swipswap: some tips for any unbiased renderer; when you get lots of fireflies (hot pixels) like this it's because of the lack of light. similar to actual photography, when taking a shot in a poorly lit area you'll see quite a bit of static. the sensor needs a lot of light information to form a picture and renders work the same.
if you light the scene more thoroughly to get rid of fireflies and then you can make it dark again by reducing the exposure in post.

Though in this photo I actually added Noise to it with my photo editing software to give it a film-grain effect like in video-games.
