ASK: @aryan826: Oh good. People are paying attention. Personally, I can see DC's logic in all this. I mean, you COULD call it a pound of prevention for an ounce of cure, but that argument only REALLY holds water in the ideal scenario that kids just shouldn't be watching the Harley Quinn series in the first place. But let's not kid ourselves. We all know that kids are watching this show because they have stupid parents who just aren't fuckin' paying attention.

Personally, I'm just hoping this means a Season 3 is coming down the pike sooner than later.

ASK: @aryan826: Well, I admit that I don't care for Harley Quinn's portrayal of Jim Gordon, but I do understand the rationale behind it. One of the things the show has gone out of its way to do is poke fun at a lot of classic Batman tropes. The Season 1 episode, "Finding Mr. Right" was all about taking the piss out of Damien Wayne as a character and the whole idea of Robin as a concept. The Season 2 episode, "Batman's Back Man" was mostly about dashing this idea of how Batman always seems to be magically prepared for any situation he finds himself in. And that's pretty much why the show portrays Jim Gordon as a broken-down drunk who can barely hold it together, because that's meant to symbolize how the Gotham Police Force has classically always been this impotent, useless branch of law enforcement that has to constantly rely on Batman to get anything done.

More to the point, you don't exactly see Jim Gordon action figures flying off the shelves at Wal-Mart. Hardly a threat to DC's bottom line. ^_^

SumptiousRobo: You'd think someone there would have gone "Hmm, have there been previous instances of a famous figure refusing to go down on their girl?" and remembered DJ Khaled turning himself into the biggest joke on the internet for a good long while. I've got family who have no idea who he is beyond that, friends who drop "Kings don't do that" when asked to do basic shit like put on their seatbelt. The dude's a total clown to the public at large and DC should've 100% expected this kind of reaction if word ever got out
